MC5 Machine Familiarisation – 3 days
This is a 3 day course and is primarily intended for setting personnel as well as others who may need to understand the setting up of the machine for deciphering faults. The course is split into 3 main areas, The Control, The Machine & Processing.
Day 1: MC5 Control
Each course participant is provided with a fully operational simulator which corresponds 99 per cent to the actual machine cabinet, this enables him to learn under supervision the setting up and optimising of the injection moulding machine. Points covered:
- Resetting of the machine’s zero points (necessary prior to each mould change). - Basic setting and optimising. - Core pulling programmes. - Saving and loading data. - On-screen diagnostics.
Day 2: The Machine
Course participants are allowed to use the experience gained the previous day in the classroom to set up from scratch a mould in our showroom. Working under supervision they are instructed of the advantages of the particular type of machine being used and also the advantages of the MC5 control system.
Participants are introduced to the machines safety facilities in addition to all aspects of machine control. This enables them to very quickly overcome faults caused by setting, saving wasting maintenance personnel time. Machine Care – Participants are also taught routine maintenance, i.e. the correct procedure for shutting down/starting up the machine when minor routine maintenance is carried out such as oil filling hydraulic tank and gear box, positioning of the suctioning and high pressure filters and the checking of the safety requirements.
Day 3: Processing
Processing on the machine, plus revision of machine operations. |
