Machine Maintenance – 3 Days
This course is designed to teach the correct machine maintenance procedures to the people responsible for providing maximum efficiency. It is an excellent introduction to people new to injection moulding machinery.
A mainly hands on course carrying out maintenance procedures on the MC5 CX Range injection moulding machine. Standard tasks are covered including filter exchange, screw tip removal, refitting and setting up of stroke transducers.
In addition common problems are discussed and the solutions demonstrated, including machine calibration, fault finding and understanding the diagnostics pages provided by the control system. The machines spare part manual will also be used to examine the exploded parts drawings.
The Machines Coding System
Time will be given to learn the system used to identify all of the components fitted to the machine by its short code. This will save time and reduce the chance of possible errors, when either ordering spare parts or discussing machine faults with out engineers over the telephone.
Module Exchange
Our engineers will show the correct way to first identify the possible faulty MODULE and the ONLY way it should be removed and replaced.
General Calibration
To ensure that the machine is set for optimal performance.
Examples of Calibration:-
Clamp force transducer Pump Control.
The Machine
All basic machine cycles, the possible interruptions, investigate the possible causes etc.
Day 1:
Principles of “CX” range machine, Mechanical and Electrical aspects, Understanding the monitoring systems.
Day 2:
Pump Calibration procedures Function Sequence of machine.
Day 3:
General fault finding Explanation of diagnostics. |
